On Wednesday I went to see the last ever London show (and their penultimate show ever) of Aerogramme at The Luminaire in Kilburn. The music was brilliant but the band didn't interact much with their audience. I think they managed about one sentence every three songs. Still, the chips at the pub next door were the best I'd had in a long while.

We spent the bank holiday weekend trundling around Shropshire looking at the various sites like Chirk CastleWe spent on day in Ludlow, which no doubt I've been to before but I didn't recognise. No surprises there then. We all really liked the area - wonder if there are any IT jobs going in Shropshire?

Anyway, as part of this trundling, we visited Colehurst Manor to look at it as a possible wedding venue. It was everything we wanted: historic, not too formal, lovely gardens, option of getting married outside and, most importantly, real fire places! So baring anything unforeseen, this is where I'll be getting married to my rather scrummy fiance.

Look what Will managed to do to his toe the other day! This is what comes of getting drunk and dancing around the room with friends. I did get a text from him at 6:30am saying that he'd hurt his toe and would be going to A&E "in the morning". I thought 6:30 was the morning but apparently he was just on his way home. I guess that teenagers for you.

Well we're back in one piece from camping in Wales. We stayed in a little camping site overlooking the sea. Apart from the bloke in the next tent snoring loudly and keeping me awake (I thought I'd escaped being kept awake by snoring, fortunately I had some ear plugs on me) the olnly background noises were the baaing of the lamps. (http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=6089) and spent our time on the beach, on the Great Orme and all the usual family holiday things. Surprisingly enough, the weather wasn't too bad. We had some rain overnight but the days were dry and the last couple of days were almost hot!

Being a bit of an archeology buff, one of the most interesting bits was a trip down the bronze age copper ore mines on the Great Orme. Apart from the concrete on the floor, the tunnels were as they were dug, very narrow in places. The deepest tunnel you could get into was about 20m underground though as you walked around there were plates on the floor where you could see down into deeper tunnels - reminded me of the mines of Moria in the Lord of the Rings!

On the way back, we drove through Snowdonia to admire the scenary and took a single track road off the A470 for no good reason other than my entertainment. Well I was entertained but it did take a while and Sue didn't seem to enjoy the steep drops and twisty roads as much as me. Never mind, when we finally made it back to her mum's, she prepared tea for us and opened a bottle of champagne.

Well we're back from Prague and are off again later on today. We really enjoyed Prague - interesting architecture and lots of stuff to do. The best bit was a horse drawn carriage ride through Prague when I proposed to Sue :-)

Fortunately she said yes!
