Must stop riding by myself. This was out Long Sutton way. I was stuck in a rut so couldn't turn around and ahead was a lot of deep soft mud. In the end I had to push the bike backwards until I could turn it around.

Well along with making my apple mill (almost done!) I've been making use of lots of old beer bottles and bottling some of my cider. I was, of course, forced to spend several hours today designing and printing my bottle labels. The note about "brewing since 1850" is in fact true, we just haven't been brewing continuously.

Well after the success of the apple press, I've now started to build a mill. Basically, it's an old Bosch garden shredder. I've stripped it all down so I can clean it and then I've coated the various parts in epoxy so hopefull they won't rust.
I'm now in the process of putting it back together (between cups of tea anyway). I've cut away a lot of the plastic surround so it's possible to get inside and clean it after it's been used. I'm also changing the infeed so it has a hopper (aka a bucket). With the original infeed, I'd have to chop the apples into quarters before they'd fit in.
