Off in the mud

Well I'm back from Rhayader (in Wales, for the geographically challenged amongst you) after the 2nd UK Adventure Rider weekend. That sounds more professional than it actually was. In reality it was 47 people on bikes from meeting up for a weekend's offroading.

I had the privilege of being the first person to fall off, or at least the first person to fall off whilst moving - our glorious leader Ella managed to fall off whilst stationary. I'm just glad I managed not to fall off down the side. Lots more photos at

The man with flowers in his hair

As my Father is non too well, Will and I took a brief trip up to visit my parents over the weekend. They all seemed fit and well enough and we had a very nice dinner with Andy and Julie. It was made all the better by drinking my Father's wine and eating my Mother's trifle. Afterward dinner and a lot of persuassion, Will played is a tune on his guitar. I thought my video of him was quite good until I noticed that it looks like the flowers are some of sort wierd hippy hat.

A walk in the woods

I went for a walk around the back of the Old Dean this morning. I'd forgotten just how much space there is and how few people there are in the area. I saw two cyclists for the whole time I was out.

By careful navigation by the sun, I just about managed to avoid getting lost, though next time I'll take a map and drink.

Reversing sensors

My reversing sensors have finally been fitted. The fitter admitted he'd completely forgotten about me when he had to order some more parts. At least he was honest and didn't try and fob me off. They were fitted by Park It Right.

The sensor are the four black cones you can see on the bumper. On a normal car, they'd be colour coded and fitted flush with the bumper but I had to have the cone mounts to allow enough adjustment to get them to point in the right direction.

Anyway, the do the job, beeping appropriately, which is the important thing.

Lunch in the park

This is how I like to spend my lunch times at work whilst the sun is still out :-)
